Inspired by the goal to create a unique private community where people could share and develop their passion for Fashion, Hichem Boukhari founded the FASHIONGLOBE in 2009. It’s a premier international society comprised of diverse creative minds from the worlds of fashion, art, and luxury. We speak with Hichem about the community and about his passion for fashion….
Are you a fashion victim?
If I consider that a Fashion victim is someone who is altering his look from season to season and follow trends then I am definitely not a “victim”.
What interest me in Fashion is the creativity behind and most of all the style. As Yves-Saint-Laurent stated Fashions fade but Style is eternal.
What is the real luxury for you?
I started to think that real Luxury doesn’t lie in materialistic values but on the amount of time and personal investment you can afford to do what you want to do without any constraints.
Maybe the supreme Luxury of life is to have the freedom to realize your ultimate goals.
Why The Fashionglobe?
I wanted to create a world where creativity is not reserved for talented individuals working for their own or as a result of commercial objectives.
The idea behind the FG was to offer a unique destination where creative people could share and develop their passion for Fashion without geographical boundaries and spirit of competition.
The FG is a sweet home for a big family which has for noble mission to offer dreams and beauty to a world ruled by money.
What is the mission of this community?
The mission of the FG is to gather all the most creative minds from the worlds of fashion, art and luxury and to offer them the possibility to meet both online and offline in an exclusive and confident environment.
What is different here respecting other social community (ASW or Iqons)?
ASW is a community built on a multimillionaire investment targeting a large audience regardless of members’ interests. While the network strives to focus on exclusivity by giving invitations rights like a “privilege” to members, this approach is totally different from ours.
We have started without investment and our membership is not based on privileged rights but on administrator’s approval.
Our members are the centre of our attention and our spirit is to help them get noticed by featuring their work and enable them to take an active role within our community.
To keep a high-quality membership and ensure that our members are serious the FG access is limited. We use both focus on a small niche and exclusivity.
As for you, what is the future trends in social media ( fashion 2.0) ?
Social media is facing actually a huge revolution and it’s obvious that the luxury marketers are definitely adapting their strategies to reach their clients online.
I think that the biggest challenge is to find the best ROI (return of investment) while online marketing tools are getting more and more sophisticated.
Maybe the future trend in social media and fashion particularly is to become again less social and more exclusive?
