Inspired by the world of bugs and their sophisticated morphologic synthesis, Apis is made entirely in recyclable aluminium and is particularly light and easy to carry, though with no abandonment of a solid and stable structure.
The triangular plate seat, bent down at the apex and base of the triangle, rests on a tube frame via small rubber dampers and allows one to sit freely on the two opposite sides. The stacking is ensured by rotating each stool a few degrees over the one below. It’s also available in a two-tone version of the seat that emphasizes the dynamic image typical of some family of insects.
Apis will be presented inside the exhibition called UT>HOME from the 8th of April to the 16th of June 2010 at the WhiteLabs gallery of Milan, Via Tiraboschi 2 (MM Porta Romana).
Opening hours: 11 am – 7 pm (from Tuesday to Saturday). Opening party: Thursday 8 April, 6 – 10 pm.
