Mr. Murizio Graf is one elegant gentleman. We remember his songs of the famous western movies a.k.a. “Spaghetti western“, but he still sing and lives for good music.
Your music passion, where does it come from?
The passion for music has accompanied me since the early years of my life. The radio was my favorite interest.
When did you start your career?
My career has begun in the middle of the sixties when I had the honour of recording my first album titled “Angel Face”, together with the big composer Ennio Morricone. It was the soundtrack of the movie “A gun for Ringo” and its lyrics were written by me.
My collaboration with Maestro was continued with ”The Return of Ringo” the sequel film which was reintroduced together with 30 other western movies at the Venice festival last year, as a well deserved tribute to Mr. Morricone who had received the “Oscar for career” few months before. Even, for this latest song I wrote the lyrics.
Later we realized together “An Eye for an Eye” the soundtrack of the movie “For a Few Dollars More” with Clint Eastwood. In addition to these soundtracks I have sung many others songs for which I wrote the lyrics too.
Do you still sing?
Yes, I still sing and my latest interpretation in the version of piano and voice is the song “I knew I loved you“, which comes from a movie “Once upon a time in America“.
What would be the western song that you would like to be remeber for in fifty years time?
Fifty years ago I recorded Angel face. I hope I will be remembered for it in 50 years. more.[audio=http://milanice.com/wp-content/plugins/ws-audio-player/I_knew_I_loved_you.mp3,I knew I loved You,download][audio=http://milanice.com/wp-content/plugins/ws-audio-player/Angel_Face.mp3,Angel Face, download]
