The theatre of “La Scala” in Milan wanted to pay tribute to the Queen for excellence in opera world. On 31st January 2008 was the last day of exhibition of original Maria Callas’s costumes, in her interpretations. Today these costumes kept in the archives of the Historical Theatre.
Maria Callas was an American born, Greek operatic soprano during and in the post World War II period. Inside, in the Scala theatre still seem to feel his recall deathless genius and charm.
The people in a line with tickets in hand, groups of tourists with a map of the city or perhaps students, everyone came from who knows where from to admire the various photos, costumes and scene of a strong reminder of the magic enchanted Opera. The numbers speak for themselves, in the last three months there has been confluence beyond expectations, we calculate that 44,718 people in Milan have visited the exhibition dedicated to Maria Callas who disappeared thirty years ago in Paris, loneliness and sadness.
