Before we met new kind of museum, let’s know the meaning of word virtual. Wiliam Gibson writes ( 1984), that we moved in another space “ virtual reality,” when we think on the way of virtual meaning. Philosopher Pierre Levy ( 1998) said, the word “ virtual” is derived from the Medieval Latin virtualis, itself derived from virtus, meaning strength or power. Strictly speaking, the virtual should not be compared with real but the actual, for virtuality and actuality are merely two different ways of being.
In other ways, a virtual museum is not a digital analog. We speak about real museum, but in artificial world. But this is not the sense that most people use the prase “ virtual museum” at this time, by which they generally mean “artificial museum.”
Among the first major online exhibitions, several were produced by the American Treasures of the Lybrary of Congres . They showed the basic exhibition online format.
Then, Museo de Monterreys “ Virtual Visit”, for example allows visitors to look around the graounds of the museum, move from room to room and click on specific paintings for more informations abouth them.
The Hamburg museum has an extensive set of quick-loading, Quicktime player using to show each gallery.
Many of these concept to present art on digital way is best to understand like exhibitions online. Today, in new gallery of Charles Saatchi, you can take a virtual tour of gallery and also create your own virtual gallery, which means that each visitor can be curator and director.

We can speak about Second life, like a type of online computer game, but maybe is better understood as an online virtual word in which every person has own space with identity which he or she wants.

For example, by registering and downloading the game, or chat with people online, you enter in virtual word and create “avatar” (representation of yourself).

In that world, you can be what you want. Your indentity is visual for other on the way you prefer to be on the line. Also, you can change your profile when ever you want.

“Second life” is an on-line game, with over 600 000 people registered for the game. Actually the game which is made possible by the very real economy that exist in the virtual word, made possible by the ability to own private property within the game and by the settings an exchange rate between the games currency and the US dollar. For example, in a single day in Septembar 2006, US $417,000 was spent in the game.

But in the context of new media, that is a life when we are on-line, actually that is on-life with different ways of our exsistence, depending are we chating, writing e-mail, surfing, searching informations, playing the game.

All of these activites on the net, put us in another word. Usually, we dont thinking about “ Who we are, when we are on-line”?

Maybe, it is not important to think about it, cause the most tools which net give us, make our life more simply and faster. Communications , collaborations , buisness and economy are more flexible then ever before. Of course, our own presentations are better and eaiser when we using internet.

Maybe we change our identity daily, when we registering on some website. Often, we give the fake informations about ourself, or informations what we want to be. Sometimes, the man is women, the old man is a child, etc. The consequences can be big on our social reputations, But we have to know control our own life and accept internet as a fact which is crashed the borders between people and give us more liberty. As we teached that, we can use the network in the way of its usful possibilities. Then no reason dont accept “ Second life” in the context of new media, like new term” virtual –online life”which is actually real life with using new power tehnology.

In these pages, i want to give a gentle introductions to this comunication word, show the benefits, and offer possible advice about social media works. The reason to start with this guide is for understanding realy simply interactive communication between creators and receptions of informations. Whears mainstream media ( MSM) such as newspaper, TV , radio and magazines are traditionally one way devices , the Social Media allows players, protagonists, punidits and public to interect and build rapport more easily than ever before. Furthermore, presentation and publishing is possible for everyone Then different ways of using terms and forms of new media, make the new “social” nature of sciences and art..

The Social Meda or “ How I learnd to stop worrying and love communications” is best understood as a group of new kinds of online media which share most or all of the following characteristics:

Participation: social media encourages contributions, colaborations and feedback from everyone who is interested. Openness: most social media services are open to feedback and participation. They encourage voting, feedback, comments and sharing of information. There are rarely any barriers to accessing and making use of content – passwordprotected content is frowned on. Conversation: whereas traditional media is about “broadcast”, content transmitted or distributed to an audience, social media is better seen as conversational. Community: social media allows communities to form quickly and communicate effectively around common interests – be that a love of photography, art , political issue or a favourite TV show. Connectedness: Most kinds of social media thrive on theirconnectedness, via links and combining different kinds of media in one place.

The basic types of Social Media are blogs, social networks, content communities ( called falksonomies), wikis and podcasts.. Probably you have heard many of these and using it, but maybe without sense of theirs importance and existence on net.

However , these tools are giving way to a new generation of internet-based tools that allow for far greater levels of two-way interaction, discussion and conversation.
