Colonia Designer Edition has been entrusted by Acqua di Parma to Luca Scacchetti, one of the most outstanding figures of contemporary Italian design and architecture, who made a bottle with a strong expressive power where art and design merge together into a world of beauty and culture.
Luca Scacchetti often uses manual drawing and watercolours in his architectural work and designs, in an extremely fluid and open-minded creative process. In this case the result of his work is a set of free associations including the noblest references, in tune with the rich tradition of Colonia. From the ancient Greek painted pots to the surrealist paintings of Salvador Dalì. But the most powerful reference is undoubtedly the Art Deco style. But this time we have Art deco in a contemporary version.
A unique object, for collectors, Colonia Designer Edition becomes even more remarkable due to the extreme care taken with each detail. Hisorical logo of Acqua di Parma and the product’s name – Designer Edition – are engraved on an elegant black lacquered metal pendant. Furthermore, the new edition of Colonia is contained in an elegant yellow hat-box decorated with the graphics characterizing the bottle. Inside, a small and practical refill accessory, which will allow on-going use.
